I had a total knee replacement on 1/26. The surgery was slightly more complicated than expected which caused more pain than expected, overall recovery went very well. Dr. Kelly's policy of letting the soft tissue heal before pushing for flexibility worked great for me. I exercised at home along with therapy and was quickly ahead of schedule as there was no soft tissue pain. I ended up getting my all clear and was up to 127 degrees of flexibility just shy of my sixth week mark. I am almost at the end of my seventh week now with daily improvement. I would classify my pain now as discomfort. I am very happy with Dr Kelly and all staff involved in this process. I highly recommend him and the staff he uses.

I saw Dr. Kelly for hip pain 5 months ago. I had a total left hip replacement in January. When I got up for the first time after surgery, I could not believe all the pain in my hip was gone. I would highly recommend Dr. Kelly for anyone needing hip surgery. he is very caring and is always available to answer questions. The texts he sends out after surgery offer encouragement as well as information to help the patient along in recovery. Dr. Kelly is the best!!

Outstanding in all aspects. Personality, knowledge, skill and above all conveying information to the point. He performed a difficult revision, of an infected knee replacement, that I had damaged in a fall.

I can't imagine receiving better care for my hip replacement than I received from Dr. Kelly and everyone who had a part in the operation, from start to finish. Dr. Kelly always showed great confidence as he outlined what was going to happen or be happening going forward with my hip. And every step that he talked about with myself and my wife was right on mark, exactly like he said it would happen. I felt tremendous confidence in working with Dr. Kelly and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr Kelly is great! He performed my left hip replacement in April and then my right hip replacement 6 months later in Oct. He listened to my concerns, was very patient with all my questions and both surgeries went well. My follow up visits were timely and I felt he really cared about me and my recovery. After surgery, he offers daily text messages of encouragement and ideas to quicken recouperation. I highly recommend Dr. Kelly.

Dr Kelly was the apex off expertise and profesionalism.
Very attentive to med and my input.
Very bad knee, and 8 weeks out I am walking around.
An idea of how meticulous he is is that I will hardly have a scar. He wants it done so perfectly that he won't let anyone else do the sewing after he has done the kneed.~ William Wierzbinski ~

I saw Dr. Mick Kelly for knee pain a year ago which eventually ended up in a knee replacement. I could not have had a better doctor or experience. Dr. Kelly was super thorough and took care and caution when he explained in detail what the surgery involved. He treats his patients as individuals as we are all different. I had the best outcome I could possibly have and recommend Dr. Kelly to anyone needing knee or hip care. Thank you Dr. Kelly.

I had a hip replacement surgery by a different doctor in a different city that left my right leg 1 1/2” to 2” shorter than my left leg and splayed out 45 degrees. I couldn’t live that way. After extensive online research and reading multiple hip arthroplasty and hip revision surgery textbooks, I knew I had to find a Wisconsin orthopedic surgeon who did only hip revision surgery. My online search led me to Dr Mick P Kelly. He evaluated my condition, asked questions and listened carefully to me. Then he explained what he could do to remedy my leg length discrepancy and restore my leg’s anatomical alignment. I have osteoporoses which made my surgery more challenging and Dr Mick Kelly rose to the occasion by restoring my leg function. His caring demeanor, talent, skill, and wisdom made a life-changing difference in my life. In addition, during each check-up after surgery, he demonstrated sincere caring about my recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Mick P Kelly for anyone in need of...

I fell in the snow and tore my left quad tendon and surrounding tissue. I was fortunate enough to see Doctor Kelly, who scheduled me for surgery right away. He was personable and understanding. The surgery was outpatient, and went very well. Recovery has been proceeding very well, and just as expected. In fact, on the day of surgery he had already called my wife to let her know things went well before I was even awake.
Pain after surgery was well-controlled and things are healing just great. I would recommend Dr. Kelly to anyone. He is just the best.~ Leo Mundt ~
