Alan Thiede, PA-C Physician Assistant

What inspired you to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant?

Physician assistants get to connect closely with their patients and work alongside other members of the healthcare system. I like to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy hands-on procedures, so a PA is a great fit!

Areas of Expertise

  • Hip and knee replacements
  • Hip and knee pain
  • Injections
  • Suturing

Educational Background

  • Bachelors in Biomedical Sciences, Minor in Spanish - Marquette University, 2017
  • Masters in Physician Assistant Studies - Marquette University, 2020

Professional Experience

I have been practicing as a Physician Assistant for four years. During my training, I enjoyed being in surgery, talking with patients in the clinic, and working in the hospital. Being an orthopedic PA allows me to do all of those things.

Patient Care Philosophy

I enjoy seeing patients with arthritis return to activities they love after surgery or injections. I aim to build strong relationships with my patients and become a trustworthy resource to guide them through treatment options and recovery.

Outside of Work

I love spending time in Milwaukee, trying new foods and restaurants with friends, finding new coffee shops or breweries to check out, and attending local music events or festivals. I also enjoy cooking new recipes, playing sand volleyball, running, and traveling. Exploring local trails and hiking with my dog are my favorite activities.
