Orthopaedic Associates of WI now offers a less expensive, faster and less stressful alternative to the ER/Urgent Care. At our After Hours Clinic, patients can access orthopaedic care and insight from our specialists after normal business hours Monday - Thursday as well as on Saturday mornings.

Patients are accepted on a walk-in basis and are typically seen in less than one hour. In addition, avoid the "OUCH" in high ER copay's. Most major insurance plans accepted. If you have any insurance questions please contact our billing department at 262-544-5311 and when prompted press 5.

What is OAW's After Hours Clinic?

OAW's After Hours Clinic is the first after hours walk-in clinic in the State of Wisconsin. The clinic is located in Brookfield in the Brownstones Shopping Center. OAW's After Hours Clinic provides immediate care for fractures, minor dislocations, lacerations, sprains and strains, sports and work related injuries. There are no appointments. Walk In & Be Seen Now by Board Certified/Fellowship Trained Orthopaedic Physicians. OAW's After Hours Clinic has on site x-ray to help diagnosis your injury.

What are the Hours of Operation for OAW's After Hours Clinic?

Monday through Thursday: 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Saturday: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

How do I determine if I need OAW's After Hours Clinic versus an emergency room?

OAW's After Hours Clinic treats non-emergent injuries like broken bones, sprains & strains, minor dislocations, lacerations and sports & work related injuries. While these injuries may seem emergent, they do not require a trip to the emergency room; however, if you have a life threatening injury, an open fracture, excessive bleeding, head trauma or spine injuries, immediately go to the hospital/emergency room nearest you.

Is OAW's After Hours Clinic like an "urgent care"?

OAW's After Hours Clinic is just like an urgent care center. While urgent care clinics treat many different illnesses and injuries, OAW's After Hours Clinic is specifically dedicated to caring for orthopedic injuries. OAW's After Hours Clinic was established to provide immediate care to patients needing orthopedic care without the long wait times, high co-pays, and allows for patients to be seen by orthopedic specialists so there is no referral needed.

What insurance is accepted at OAW's After Hours Clinic?

OAW's After Hours Clinic accepts MOST major insurances. If you have a question regarding your plan, please feel free to call our billing department at 262-544-5311, option #5.

What is the co-pay? Is it due at our visit?

OAW's After Hours Clinic charges the same co-pay as a doctor's office, which is generally cheaper than an emergency room or urgent care co-pay. If your plan requires a co-pay, it will be collected at the time of your visit. If you currently do not have insurance coverage, we require a $100 deposit at the time of your visit.

Does OAW's After Hours Clinic treat children and adults?

OAW's After Hours Clinic treats patients of all ages, whether your child was hurt on the playground, during a sporting event or if you slipped and fell on the ice or during sport competition. OAW's After Hours Clinic specializes in the treatment of orthopedic injuries for all age groups.

Who are the healthcare professionals staffing OAW's After Hours Clinic?

OAW's After Hours Clinic is staffed by Board Certified/Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Physicians. All members of the OAW's After Hours Clinic are specialty trained in orthopedic injuries and offer expert care for everything orthopedic. Additional staffing by nurses, medical assistants and x-ray personnel.

Who do I follow up with after my After Hours Clinic visit?

By coming directly to OAW's After Hours Clinic you will have immediate access to orthopedic specialists if follow up care is required. Our staff will coordinate an appointment for you with our providers prior to you leaving our After Hours Clinic if you choose. This allows for a continuum of care starting with your After Hours Clinic visit through follow up care provided at one of our various 10 office locations.

Will OAW's After Hours Clinic notify my family doctor of my visit?

The providers at OAW's After Hours Clinic will complete a clinical note documenting the care and treatment you received at our After Hours Clinic. This information will be forwarded to your family doctor or primary care physician upon finalization and completion.

What if I need an emergent care during normal business hours?

Orthopaedic Associates of Wisconsin offers same day and next appointments during our daytime hours for urgent orthopeadic care. If you need immediate care for sprains & strains, fractures, lacerations, dislocations or sports & work related injuries before are After Hours Clinic hours, we would be happy to see you in our office.
